Wood protection and conditioning
ESACRYL 122 X is highly suitable for the consolidation (petrifaction and hardening) of wooden surfaces disturbed by woodworms, fungi and molds. The density of the solution depends on the extent of damage. The early stages of damage are treated with thinner solutions. More extensive damage requires thicker solutions. The preparation can be diluted with toluene or xylene. In general the 1:6 ratio is used to obtain smaller concentrations and the 1:2 ratio is used to get thicker solutions. However, a specific ratio always depends on the condition of the object to be restored. The solution should always be tested before application. Impregnation methods are painting, immersion, injecting at atmospheric pressure or reduced pressure impregnation. Wood protection and conditioning ESACRYL 122 X can be used to repair wood surfaces in homes, to reinforce old wooden objects and to extend the service life and resistance of new wooden products. It can be applied onto building and wooden structures in homes and gardens – i.e. on rafters, beams, floors, fences, etc. The preparation can be diluted with toluene or xylene at a ratio ranging from 1:2 to 0.5. It is necessary to first test a specific concentration in combination with a material to be hardened. It is recommended to apply the preparation by immersion or by (repeated) painting. The so treated wooden object can then be worked with and applied with top coats.
Impregnation of tiles, interlocking pavers and concrete floors
It is recommended to paint cleaned, ideal tinted interlocking pavers with 15% solution; i.e. to mix ESACRYL 122 X and XYLENE at the ratio of 1:1.5. This application yields a glossy surface. Concrete should also be painted with 12-15% solution. Once again, a glossy surface is achieved.
