Contact of the patination solution with the blank and cleaned metal surface immediately forms a blue black or a deep black deposit. As soon as the desired effect is achieved, the patination process can be easily stopped by rinsing of the object with water.

patination comes as a concentrated solution and can be applied like a paint or as an immersion bath dependent on the degree of dilution. It is not useable for the patination of silver, aluminium, chrome or nickel plated surfaces.

As this product is a concentrate, it has do be diluted with water according to the planned operation: if you want to apply it by painting, dilute it to a 1:2 until 1:3 ratio; for an application via immersion bath, dilute it to a 1:5 ratio.

Apply the diluted solution evenly on the brass, copper or bronze object and let it react until the desired effect. Alternatively, dip the metal object in the diluted solution (1:5 ratio) and turn it regularly until the desired patination.

In order to cancer le process, you only have to wash the object with water. Without washing, the object won't stop getting darker. In the end, wash the metal object thoroughly with water and polish it with a soft piece of cloth.
